Our top priority is guaranteeing a seat for all passengers, keeping families and parties seated together and maintaining appropriate passenger capacity. Safety is # 1, therefore, very small children are prohibited from the first two rows and side seats. The Captain reserves the right to alter, designate, or change any passenger's seat for any reason at any time.

  • How early should we arrive to check-in?

We ask that all passengers check in 20 minutes prior to a trip. This allows you time to check and fill out required paperwork. • Are there any age restrictions for children?

YES; there are age restrictions and while we do not want to discourage you from bringing the youngsters, the following tips are provided as a guideline:

    • Parents know their children best but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office. There are plenty of moms and dads here with personal experience to help you determine what will work for your little one.
    • Our boats are FAST and LOUD smaller children must be at least 44" tall (avg. 5 yr. old) to be seated properly in their seats.
    • Children are considered 13 yrs old and younger. Child ticket rate is 5-13 yrs old ONLY.
    • Anyone under 18 must have parent or guardian fill out liability waivers. Any child under 14 yrs old must be accompanied by a paying adult on the boat.
  • Can Seniors take part in the trip?

The jet boat ride, by its very nature, creates forces that may not be acceptable to some persons. Participants of jet boat excursions will be exposed to outdoor elements, forces from the jet boat spins, speeds and other intense features that may cause distress or injury to persons with pre-existing health conditions. Please consider these features in determining suitability for all passengers. Only guests in good health should participate in a jet boat excursion. For your safety do not ride if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, motion sickness, heart, neck or back problems, recent surgery or any other medical condition that might be aggravated by the forces of this ride.

All guests, including those with disabilities or use a wheelchair must be able to transfer into and out of the boat by themselves or with the assistance of ONE member of their party.

Seating in the boat is first come, first serve and cannot be reserved. People with young children may not sit in the first two rows and side seats of the boat.

  • Can we bring a Service dog or Therapy dog on the boat?

For the safety of all passengers, any animal, with the exception of an active service animal for physically impaired individuals, is prohibited. Any animal that does not assist an individual with sight, sound or mobility is not allowed on the vessels. Notification that a service dog will be boarding with you is required upon making your reservation. Please be advised that the boat Captain will perform power thrill maneuvers and the animal will need to be secured during the maneuvers. Pet carriers are not permitted as a safety measure.

  • Are life jackets required?

No. We do provide life jackets prior to boarding the vessel. The boats are also equipped with the appropriate number of adult and child emergency life vests located under the seats of the vessel. The crew will point them out.

  • Can I ride the jet boat if I am pregnant?

We do not allow pregnant guests to ride. It is safer to wait til next season.

  • What should we bring on the trip?

What to wear: During May and September, when the weather is cooler, we suggest you dress warmly or in layers. It is always cooler in the morning as well as on the return from the Sun-set trip.

During the warmer months, June, July, and August the typical attire is shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and flip flops. Bring along, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Be prepared to get wet and dress according to your comfort level. We suggest wearing clothes that dry quickly and perhaps steer away from denim pants or shorts and leather footwear.

If you have an extended car ride planned after a trip, consider bringing an extra set of clothes - just in case - to ensure a comfortable trip to your next destination.

Accessories: Sunglasses: Every year, hundreds of jet boat riders involuntarily sacrifice their sunglasses to the Atlantic Ocean . Wear eye wear retainers, especially on your prescriptions or newly acquired designer shades.

Hats: Don't leave home without one, but also don't leave it in the Rogue Atlantic. Hat retainers work....usually. Both hat and eye glass retainers can be bought on site.

Identification, cash and credit card: Handy for jet boat captain gratuity. Please leave pocketbooks, backpacks, and beach bags secured in your vehicle.

Electronic Devices: Many people bring cameras and cell phones, however, due to the nature of our trips, large amounts of water are possible. Therefore, East Coast cannot be responsible for damage to any electronic equipment including cell phone and other water sensitive items such as hearing aids and electronic ignition keys. All items are brought at your own risk.

Food, Beverage and other: Smoking and alcohol is prohibited on the jet boats, on/at the loading dock or parking lot area. Glass containers, coolers/ice chests and also prohibited as they create a safety hazard during spins.

Leave it behind if you can (we suggest securing the following items in the trunk of your locked vehicle): Cell phones and camera equipment.

East Coast Jet Boat

GET SOME Boat Specs

We launched East Coast Jet Boat in early May 2013 as an all-new South Jersey attraction with the "GET SOME" – the first Jet Boat of its size on the East Coast!

We didn't just build a jet boat; we built a jet boat with some of the most sophisticated engineering and highest quality components in the world. The "GET SOME", custom made New Zealand style, is a 30-foot, 23-person plus 2 crew jet boat featuring lightweight all-aluminum construction, and two massive 8LV-320 Yanmar diesel engines. The highly sophisticated design, engineered for speed and agility, allows the "GET SOME" to travel at speeds in excess of 50 MPH and perform some very exciting maneuvers! However, the vessel will not travel in excess of 35 MPH due to U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

The most unique aspect of the "GET SOME" , however, is its jet propulsion system – consisting of dual Hamilton 241 Waterjets! The level of quality in our jet propulsion system is very uncommon outside of military applications. They are built to handle A LOT of power – up to 6,500hp to be exact – so rest assured, East Coast Jet Boats will offer the best Jet Boat experience around. However, there's not really anything to compare it to for thousands of miles!

Believe it or not, all that power and speed doesn't come at the cost of other important factors like safety. Here are a few facts about jet-propelled watercrafts:

  • Safety. Jet Boats have NO propellers or rudders – making swimmers, divers, and all Southern Jersey wildlife much safer. Not having propellers also means good things for local commercial fishermen, because there isn't a propeller to get caught in the ropes attached to crab or lobster pots.
  • Comfort. Compared to propeller-driven boats, jet boats result in less noise and on-board vibrations. They provide a smooth, relatively quiet ride.
  • Maneuverability. Jet boats have excellent maneuverability, even at low speeds, because of something called "directed thrust". When needed, force can be directed forward, backward, left or right, by controlling a component with the controls. This, in combination with the fact that there is no propeller, makes jet boats ideal for any narrow or shallow waterway.
